Since my childhood when i played with my mothers makeup (to her dismay), i have always had a fascination with beauty products. To me, going to a beauty counter is like the memory of taking a trip to your favourite sweet shop as a child. I love trying out different ways of doing my makeup and love trying out different skin care products to see if they actually do do what they claim on the packaging.

 I have been wearing high end make up and beauty skin care products for a long time now and have discovered over the years which products work best on my skin and which colours and makeup types suit my skin tone best, and those that don't.

By the way, my skin type is combination with a more oily T zone and open pores. In the winter, my skin dries up a bit more.

I do use some drug store products but not all, as some really irritate my skin due to perfume used in them. 

I also find the makeup has lots of perfume in it as well and no intensity in colour,  often colours look incredibly artificial and they don't last the day either.  

The secret is to find products right for you and I have found that its usually well researched products which are kind to my skin meaning, they are usually more expensive, unfortunately. I am not sure if products are tested on animals but i know Body Shop products are not tested on animals, if this is a problem for you, so you could start there and they are good quality and reasonably priced.

I have been lied to, on many occasions about what a product will do for my skin or how this mascara will give me the longest lashes ever. Well i hate paying out good hard earned money, just to throw products away that did not live up to their price tag.
